Working abroad has been a dream of mine since I was 19 years old.
I was introduced to an English teacher from HATTEN, and I actually went to the Philippines and studied at a language school for six months. My goal was to find overseas employment while attending language school, but it wasn't as easy as I thought. I sent many cover letters and resumes that I created with the HATTEN teacher, but I received no response. I gave up on the path of overseas employment for the time being and returned to Japan.
Still, I could not give up on the idea of working abroad, and I was inspired again to "definitely work in an English-speaking country.
While working in Japan, I looked at overseas job listings and asked my mentor questions about the job requirements. I even had him act as an interviewer to practice my interviews.
