Eiken Dual Method

The impetus for the creation of the dual method

The reason for creating it was that I thought that if there was an Eiken version of Callan, I would like my child to take it.

The language is based on American English so that it can be used in everyday conversation.
There is a simple reason why Japanese people cannot speak English even though they have studied it for years. It is because they have not memorized sentences that are often used in conversation. Foreigners learn Japanese quickly because they say it over and over again and make an effort to memorize many example sentences necessary for daily life. I think it is also significant that foreigners in Japan have opportunities to speak Japanese every day.

I think Japanese people can make an effort, but they finish their study without memorizing the important example sentences. I think that is where the difference lies.

The most important feature of the dual method

The advantage of the direct method, in which students listen to a question and memorize the answer without looking at the text, is that they can really speak.

For example, if you are reading a long sentence, there are sample answers to the questions, and you will memorize all of them in English.
